Hello, been shoping around for the smallest midi keyboard, around 37 keys needed, found the perfect thing, I don't need quality, just something that's pretty small and fit to travel with, the Macmice Garagekey seem to fit the bill.

Here is the link to one : http://www.mac-pro.com/s.nl/it.A/id...c=2&category=16

This is pretty expensive for what it is, but I'm determined to find it for a lower price, now I've found it somewhere for 89 $ but they charged 50$ for shipping to Canada...

But the problem has to do with it's compatibility, most sites say it won't work with XP, this one say it now does... is it a driver upgrade or the actual hardware that is now compliant with XP... I wanna know if I could buy it anywhere or will I have to purchase it in that store for that reason only, I would really appreciate help for that, thanks.

Francis.

Can't get to contact the company, their site is pretty minimal when it comes to product information, I guess you're right USB is USB, but then again, I'd simply feel more confident with a confirmation, at this point, the keyboard sounds great, would fit perfectly in my travel bag, plus it has full size keys unlike the evolution e37.

I would ehxaust every avenue to confirm it will work with my rig before laying out the money.

The site looks legit, but errors do happen.

Very good advice, but I just can't seem to find my answer about drivers, and DVForge nor MacMice don't have any contact details on their webpage. Stores won't reply to me ... as usual, if they do, it takes them so much time... what ever happened to good customer service !

They probably updated the firmware to be compliant with the USB MIDI standard at some point. Hardware that is spec-compliant should just work under Mac OS X and Windows XP, in theory, bugs notwithstanding.

Miditech (importer of MacMice products in Europe) suggested me to try their drivers for their play 'n' roll keyboard that's on their site... think that could work ?
