Hi there, i have just tested the evaluation version of fx teleport, i swapped around 10 vst effect's from a project on nuendo, to teleport on my laptop. It actually makes the project run slower, it seems to be using more power than before, i can tell this as my computer starts spitting etc.
I have pressed the 2 computers button to reset the latency but no joy,

I was using it on some waves plugs and guitar rig?

Has anyone used the programme before, have you had succsess? Same probs etc?

Bringing the thread back from the dead

Only because this is basically the same question I had.
From www.musicxp.net there is a link to that FX Teleport thing.
Right now, I am using a 2.26 GHZ p4 with 1 gig of RAM.

Now, everything runs fine, until I start loading either 8 or more plug ins, or especially if I run a multiband compressor and limiter. Then I start getting some crackling and popping and it sucks if I am still trying to track stuff.
When I look at my CPU usage, the RAM is no problem, but it appears the CPU load is getting up to 80% or higher.
So I was considering upgrading my processor, but oddly enough processor speeds keep getting SMALLER as of late. Like, most new computers are coming with 2 point something GHZ, they aren't hardly making any over 3 GHZ anymore. Besides, how much would I have to upgrade my processor to eliminate any possibility of popping and such?

So, I was looking into that FX Teleport. Is anyone familiar with it, that could recommend it for my situation? Or is there a similar software or solution?

Thanks!

REAPER's ReaMote can do it

ReaROute your app to REAPER channels and it should be fine

That sounds easy.

Anyone with experience on that fx teleport.
Or anyone who has a system spec that can run around 15-20 plug ins without some crackly pop action? Any idea what I should upgrade my CPU to?

Processor clock frequency isn't speed. A Core2Duo 2.4Ghz has like ten times the power of a P4 3.2Ghz. Plus, its a 2 or 4 core system instead of a single processor. I can run as many plugs as Id ever want on my Core2 system.

I used to use FX Teleport with no problem... Maybe its your ethernet connection thats the problem?
