About 2-1/2 years ago, I remember contacting Cakewalk tech support for a problem I was having in Pro Audio 9...with FX effects. The Presets display for any effect would not be retained the next time the effect was opened, even in the same project, in the same session!
At that time, I could have sworn that Cakewalk told me it was a bug specific to Pro Audio 9; & that they were aware of it; & that it was being fixed in SONAR.
Well, I now have SONAR 2.2...& it's still there!
So far, I've only used Reverb (DSP-FX StudioVerb), but the preset names do not get retained when you close out of the plug-in (& then open it back up.)
Now I'm told by Cakewalk that it is not a bug, but that it is a design flaw in DirectX. The settings can be saved but the preset name will not remain. They say Microsoft need's to fix this problem in DirectX by adding the ability to save the preset name in the plug-in.
Does anyone else out there have this problem...& more importantly, an idea or solution. This is really a pain in the butt. If you forget your settings, you have to browse "all" the settings to compare parameter numbers (in order to ascertain which setting is applied.) Can anyone help with this? Certainly would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance,
