One Hit Wonder
I very partial to using "non-destructive" FX's on my recordings. They allow me a lot of flexibility in that after a week or two of listening to something, you can easily go back and change or undo them if you decide you on a different approach.

Using non-destructive FX's on an entire track is pretty easy and straightforward in CW PA9. You can patch the FX into Console View, or add them in the effects panel in track view.

However, here's my question. Is there a way to add non-destructive FX to just a portion of a track? I can't seem to find a way to do this (other than cutting out that portion of the track and pasting it to a new track).

It would also be cool to have something like a volume or pan envelope for FX. Something that would allow you to increase or decrease the effect over specific areas of a track.

Is all of this just wishful thinking on my part, or does anyone know of ways to accompish this?

Thanks.
