New one upbeat hard rock. I used Apollo Twin X for all tracks (except drums) and mostly UAD plugins with SM57 and a AT4047s. Mixed in logic X. Anything glaring anyone notices please feel free to point it out a little close to this mix now.

VERY aggressively mixed and compressed. I'm hesitant to say "overly so" because this genre can get away with it. I'm not sure I could take a full album's listen with the volume knob at full "11" out of the gate, though.

On the whole, the balance of the mix l/r is really good, but everything is SO 'in your face', my only suggestion is to come back off the limiter and "open the depth" of the mix a little more. It's got a pressed glass audio sheen to it that serves the aggressive nature of the work, but also fatigues the ear for a second listen.

Plus - GET OFF MY LAWN!

:D

It's well-put together and nails its genre, but through earbuds it's fatiguingly hard and bright, especially the cymbals. Like porn with the bright lights on.

This. It's watchable, but fatiquing at the same time.

The vocal and rythmn guitar are cool - perhaps a bit louder on both - the bass isn't really present - and the drums are mixed downward - the part that doesn't fit to me is the Lead guitar - it should have structure rather than just a ramble - really cool song - good vibe.

thanks guys for the thoughts gonna work at adjusting the mastering to make it less fatiguing. Do the vocals sound like the could be louder in mix to you guys or fine?

I thought the vocal sat quite well in the mix. It's just that everything was shouting through at 11. :D

reduced 4500 hz at about 1.5 db subtle but it removes some harshness. wav file above in first post updated and here is mp3. The volume I'm fine with you can turn it down and also you can't hear it out on the lawn! jk

Yeah, better. Must have been one of the super hot women who suggested the 4500 Hz cut. Hang onto that girl. She's better than hot.
