funny looking fostex ribbons??

They look like something that might be found aboard an alien spacecraft for probing purposes.
 
hmmm... probably worth purchasing then.

probing porpoises?... would they work on dolphins too do you think?
 
Ha ha ha.... They might actually sound pretty cool... Ya never know. :)
 
...it seems Fostex owned a patent on their "Printed Ribbon" technology (a ribbon that is much more durable than the conventional foil ribbon element)...judging by the price of the 2 models that were last in production, you might want to grab those guys...more details here on the later models that Fostex manufactured:

Those are odd looking. Makes me horny.

I tried a Fostex ribbon out last week but it was square-ish. Michael Wagener used those Fostex ribbons all through the 80's and 90's and didnt even know what a ribbon was, kept blowing them up and replacing them cause they sounded so good. If you are a rock guy, then I'd assume you've heard the Fostex cause Wageners done tons of rock that you've heard a million times.
