Funk / Rock / Metal Song (Need Critique)

So I just finished up a recording session for this band I manage called Psychtrea. Here is the track let me know what you think of the mix and of the song as well. I included the link to their myspace as well.

You did a pretty good job with this one.

You've got a guitar panned hard to either side during the verses right? They sounded very distinct. (i.e. They sounded like two separate guitars, instead of just one.) It was a bit disorienting on headphones, especially when they played different things. That's my only complaint.

The chorus sounds really cool.

Uhhh..yeah--I think he knows that. Perhaps his point was something like this: when 2 separate guitars are playing the same part, panning them hard left and right makes for a cool spread--a nice big guitar sound. But when two guitars are playing different parts, they don't need to be hard left and hard right to sound separate--since they're playing different part. As such, panning them hard and left can sound to exaggerated.

In other words--you might wanna tweak that and see how it sounds. Or not.

I think the guitar & bass are a bit out of time with the drums on the verses. Also I would presonally like the drums to be amlot louder, to get that really funky groovy sound the drums often overpower.

its a great tune though and i LOVE the guitar licks in the verse, truly great.
