Fundamental Stomp Boxes.......

After countless $$$ spent over the years on this stomp box and that stomp box I've ended up with a wah, script logo phase 90, Boss tuner and my amps footswitch on stage. Most of my effects come from my right hand or volume knob. I do run an old Roland GS6 through my effects loop with about 4 patches that add a little color here and there. All of the pedals bought over the years are currently resting in peace in bins in my studio. Maybe I'll go down and tweak some knobs and trip over some wall warts now...

I'm a little old fashoined..but here my fav's:

MXR Distortion +

Ibanez:
Tube Screamer
Sonic Distorion
Stero Chourus (the purple one)
Flanger (the yellow..eats a lot of batteries)

MXR Phase 90

Cry baby ..of course

I see alot of you have the Ibanez Tube Screamers.

Can I have one of 'em?

I had the Screamer with the little square button back when it first came out.I have no idea what I did with it.Who'd have thunk it was going to become a classic.

I have the TS7 now,not bad,but I never really crank up the gain,I just use it for a boost with a tinge of dirt.

I'll take it!

I'll PM you my address.

I played an outdoor shitty gig this weekend and I decided to leave the stompers at home and just use my newish peavey classic 50. I found that I have crippled myself using my rat for 25 years. I couldn't dial the amp in with just the gain stages. I was too loud by the time I got it cooking just right. Since I got my amp, I've been playing through the clean channel and using the rat to get just a little grit. Without my crutch, I wasn't able to dial in the voice-of-God tone twiddling knobs between songs. I blame myself for never really doing much woodshedding with it at home. I hate to damage my ears practicing and save the ear-trauma for gigs.

I need a good tuner.
I got a Fender pt-100 a couple of months ago. It was less expensive than the rest and is a solid box. It has two outputs, one of which has the output to the amp off when the tuner is engaged. It's nice for switching guitars.

Which stomp box or boxes are integral to your setup, and what style are you playing?

Boss CS 3 for clean blues. Be sure and take it off before adding on the gain.

Vintage Mutron Octive Divider

Vintage Mutron III

MoogerFooger 102 Ring Modulator

MoogerFooger 104 SD Analog Delay

Moog CP-251 control voltage processor/mixer

4- Moog expression pedals for use with the MoogerFoogers

KLON Centaur Overdrive This really is a great piece. It's the one thing I find myself using all the time. I've run Moog Voyager, Roland JV1010, run it into the Leslie, put a P-Bass through it. Everything sounds bigger and badder with it.

So I guess there is ONE pedal......

Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe

Geoffrey Tease RMC3 wah. Very cool too. Lot's of quack!

Ernie Ball VP Jr. volume pedal.

Vintage MXR 10-band EQ

Leslie control pedal. That's a must-have item there!!!

Rivera FS-7

Roland SDE 1000

Lexicon MPX1

Also rans.......

80's Morley Pro Flanger and Rotating Wah. The rotating sound on that one is pretty bad, but the wah is very cool. I restored it. Got that one off Ebay was DOA.

I... find myself..... foaming at the mouth...... and.... seizing.............. at the thought......... of this setup...........................

I`ve only got two stomp boxes at the moment.

Big Muff and Memory man.

I sold all the others, as I`m gonna try to build myself a "vintage collection".

My friends is gonna start to build pedals, and he promised to set me up good. :)

He`s got loads of pedals, even a Maestro Echoplex, wich is damn sweet.

What did you think of the Monkey?
It's alright. To be honest, the sound of the Gretsch running straight through the Classic 30 is my favorite.

I play acoustic, coffee house type stuff, and I use a tubescreamer. You gotta' see our show. I'm kind of a big deal.

You'll always be a big deal to me, Chris Harris!
