Can someone explain to me what a full duplex sound card is?

Is SB Live one?

Full duplex means a device that can both send and recieve data at the same. Or in this case, record a signal, and playback a signal simultaneously. An example would be talking on the telephone.

Half duplex and you could record, but not monitor tracks that you already put down and vice versa. CB radio comes to mind, breaker, breaker.

The SBLive! is full duplex.

Thanks. I lived in a duplex when I was a kid. I fell in love with the girl next door, Andrea. I found out that if you go up into the attic, there was no seperation between the two homes at the peak between the partitioning wall. We would meet in the attic, I'd climb over the wall...

but that's a different kind of duplex, I think....
