I wrote and recorded a joke song real quick today for the "other" site, and decided that I like it so much, I'll post it here too. :p

It's called "Fuck you, we're from Texas". :D

Thanks Joey. It's just for shits and grins. I was supposed to write a song with "different" chords, so I used a G7 and D7 in this one. I'm a power chord kind of fella, so those chords are like chinese to me. :D

Another one to cruise around to with the windows rolled down. I guess I have wait until I visit the in-laws in Louisiana later this year.

Lone star has the best marketing strategy ever. name your product after the state where everyone is most apt to buy something because it's named after their state. Brilliant!

Ha, thanks. Yeah Lone star is awful but people really do drink it for the name on the label. I prefer Shiner any day. ;)

Thanks. This was just a joke, so I tried for a Johnny Cash style baritone instead of the typical nasal country twang. And yeah, Shiner is way better. :D

This is fucking amazing!!! Dude your punk covers are really tight but your originals are getting pretty damn good too. Pre-chorus is great. How'd you do the sound effect at 'queers'?

You'd probably make a buck or two releasing this.

I know what you mean. Im a power chord guy too. I have a free acoustic I got from Sam Ash (a Carlos Robela) and I cant play it worth a shit. "I only know three chords, watch me burn", (whats that line from ?). Anyway cool tune. Sort of dragged out a little for me. Needs more low end on the bass. Country music is really driven by the bass guitar. Or maybe some jug and steel. All in all a good job, considering its a different style than you play.
