I have three of these units, and they are the best interface for the money IMO. I got creative with my patchbay routing last night and no longer need two at home (I currently have one in my mobile rig and two in my home rack).

Comes with original box.

$350 shipped.

One of these just sold on eBay for $435+ shipping, so I think my price is fair.

General Specifications:

Two DM2000 Quality Mic Preamps with Inserts

2 Mic/Line inputs plus 6 Line inputs

24bit/96kHz Audio Interface

Balanced Inputs and Outputs

ADAT I/O supporting 96kHz

18 simultaneous channels

OS9/OSX/XP Drivers support

Portable 1 Unit Rack

i wonder if that place actually has them in stock? some stores still have them online but they never actually have them.
also, the one that went for $435 was sold internationally. most of the time these go for about $250-$300 on ebay.

Supply is low and demand is high, so the price of this device will be going up, not down.

with all due respect, this is a discontinued, unsupported, first generation firewire device running on mlan which is a dead technology. thats why you're selling it now instead of in 3 years when the price will supposedly be higher :)

but yeah i emailed the place above and its still in stock. full warranty, too.

Hey man i told ya it would never go at that price... $250 + shipping to New Zealand i'll take it for
Cheers
Chris

I wouldn't call it a dead technology as it's still being updated.

Even if the technology becomes "dead", I don't see how that matters if it continues to work well.

I agree, its not dead. The MLAN Graphic patchbay allows for some pretty outstanding routing options. The downside is that it isn't exactly plug and play compatible. Overall, a very usable interface if you are willing to hit one extra icon on your desktop.

Yeah, it depends on what you want out it. Just as a DAW it's a pretty nice unit with some decent pre's. It does use the same converters as the Delta 1010. You can't go wrong at that price.

He's just trying to tell you that if you actually want to sell it(and trust me demand isn't that high for this thing) then you might want to consider a price that will help it actually sell.

The preamps on these are phenomenal, but I thought MLan was no longer being supported? Could be wrong. At any rate, $300 shipped is a frickin' awesome deal. Might have to visit the pawn shop. You looking for any trades?

Pete

I'm always open for trades.

I'd love another Beyer M500 or M160. Perhaps an older JBL 7110 compressor. Some closed-back headphones like Sennheiser HD280s or Sony 7506s. Lemme know whatcha got and I'll let you know if I'm interested.

Where did you find this information?

I'm lowering the price to $300 shipped.

Research.

There's a mLan forum (don't have the link anymore) and a guy there popped the hood on his i88 and sure enough they are the same. SOS mag reviewed the 1010 years ago and mentioned what converters are in it.

um who cares what converters are used, its the preamp before the converter that makes the difference. Just because Emu uses the same converters as Digidesign it does not mean a 1212 is as good as a I/O 192

I agree. Although the converter chip itself is an indication of quality, there's other things to consider, such as the circuit design, clock, and quality of components. All of these things add up to a different sounding device. I've read that the mLan clock is remarkably tight, so I imagine the i88x will sound different than a Delta 1010. From my recollection, the i88x sounds much more clear and wide than the Delta 410 I used to own.
