cool ...... a bit more info when you get time to dig into them deeper please.

A great alternative to taking a real Gibson to a gig. Very tempting. Change out the hardware, if needed, pop in better pups. Good to go.

i'm at work now, but i'll take some detailed pics for you all, and once i start using the thing, i'll post some recordings. i also got a paul reed smith (item 0250) but it doesnt look nearly as good as the les paul. it looks fake, and the neck is REALLY thick. i basically only had time this morning to unpack that one, look at it for a second, then leave for work (i brought the les paul to work).

Hi there everyone, I joined this forum because I found this topic about the Les Paul custom from Musoland. I have been researching Musoland and a few other "knock off " guitar companies. When I read what the user RightOnMusic wrote about purchasing one.....it got my hopes up.

I've been really sceptical about buying a fake les paul or fake ibanez. I have written down about 6 different sites that all sell basically the same knock offs aswell as some really, really horrible ones.

RightOnMusic, I would really love to see some in depth pictures of your Les Paul that you bought. The one question that I've always been curious about is if they actually have a real truss rod. I've heard som many bad things about theses fakes, like the issue of not having a truss rod, or some customers not receiving their guitars at all.

To be honest, the real reason I want to get a Les Paul clone and an Ibanez "Jem" clone, is because I belong to another forum that is dead against ibanez and gibson clones, and I want to purchase these guitars and take pictures of them in the pick up cavities, control cavaties, under the truss rod cover and a few other areas to show these people that they really can't be that bad. Some may call me foolish for buying one or two, but I think with a little TLC and tweaking, combined with these guitar's deadly looks......they could be a down right awesome instrument.

Anyway guys, sorry this is long, and hope to chat with soon. RightOnMusic...I can't wait to see some of your pics.

Thanks for the report rightonmusic. If you post a new thread in the guitar section with pics, maybe some recordings or more indepth description Im sure a lotta people would appreciate it.

You bet Nightfire, here they are.

1. paylessguitars.com
2. musoland.com
3. www.fritra.com
4. www.bounry.com
5. shoppingcraft.com (although it seems to be shut down at present)
6. topping store

It seems that these stores can be hard to find, but I'm googling the heck outta them rightnow. I'm a little leary about who I'm actually going to order these guitars from yet. It's a toss between paylessguitars and Musoland.

Thats why I'm anticipating RightOnMusic's rating on Musoland. Musoland and Payless seem to look like they have the better copies out there. Nightfire , if you want a good laugh at some truely gruesome looking chibanez guitars, check out topping store. Lol, some of the Vai jems on there appear to actually have the ibanez logo on the headstock painted on like someone used a gold marker. :) Musoland and Payless jems are far better.

Never thought I'd be checking out chibanez's and Gibsuns. Lol, but up here in Canada a Jem is worth it's weight in gold. It's a shame that theses copies are being made, but at the same time, unless Gibson and Ibanez are going to come up with more affordable solutions, guys like me will try the copies.

i've just confirmed there IS a truss rod in the musoland LP custom. i will take pictures as soon as i can i've been really busy in the studio working on my band's new record, but said record will have some musoland LP on it... also the spacing on the pups is a little off from the gibson standard, i bought i 5 ply gibson pickguard for it (the one ply pickguard it comes with looks a little shoddy) and it didnt quite fit right, i'm going to have to shave about 3 milimeters off of the space for the bridge pup.

how about a China Gibson Relic knock-off for $139.95???

hmmmm..... I hope someone can bring something real to this post.

anyway take care,
Paul McCartney

hahahaaa..chibenez, Fendez, gibsun...damn thats funny...thanks for the laugh!

it's insane, this whole thread...from fake logo's to lawsuits to a frenzy of buyers..

the logo thing, gets me though...can't they at least come up with their own logo?

oh well, have fun, rock on, guys

Actually coolcat, paylessguitars state on their website that they can put what ever logo you want on a guitar of their's. Lol, get and ibanez with a gibson logo on it. That would sure turn some heads.

RightOnMusic, thanks for posting about the truss rod, that sets my mind at ease, I look forward to your pics my friend, and good luck with the recording too. :)

Rightonmusic, just wondering how those pics of the gits are coming along. Lol, you must be pretty busy these days.:)
