If I could get a new 003 for 300 pounds I would definitely buy one. Whats that in US dollars $468.00. Unfortunately thats not even close to what they really go for. In fact I doubt you can buy a newer or barley used 002 for that...

I'm among the crowd planning on leaving My Digi hardware behind (002R), but not because of 9.0... I'm not impressed with it for the cost and the apparent number of problems folks are having-

I'm looking at the Motu 828mk3 and moving to DP- only 2 internal pres, while still having 8 analog ins, optical in, the on-board mixer may or may not be all that useful

I'd thought about the BlackLion mods, but they can't won't give me a true bypass of the internal pres (and I don't care what you say, still having to go the gain circuitry, is another level of circuitry I'd rather not have)

The DP competitive upgrade is less than 9.0 with ToolKit, and appears to give me everything, plus a much better Midi editor, and from the many I've chatted with, latency is "almost' a non issue while recording, and I can route multiple analog mono outs for a headphone mix which the 002R will NOT do with noticeable latency

and DP isn't a CPU hog

so, anyone looking for an 002R next Jan/Feb for BL mods or whatever- I'll have one on the cheap... and you can even have a licensed copy of PTLE 8.0, and for a little more i might throw in a Mac PPC G5

yes the market will soon be flooded with 002/003's... but I'd have to say i've gotten my money's worth!
