here is a great way to get high quality sound into your computer, it comes with the original manual, set of the latest drivers, and a cubase audio program. Aardvark Direct Pro Q 10 ( $455.00 )
you can get more info here on this link:
http://www.pcrecording.com/q10.htm
this review used the old drivers, i have the newest.

Also i'm getting rid of a Class A preamp channel strip w/eq and compression.
you can also use this as a latency free monitoring set up.
it comes with the original manual
FOCUSRITE TRAKMASTER PRO ( $235.00 )
you can get more info here on this link:

You'll never get that kind of money for the Q10 on eBay or anywhere else. Sorry. They typically go for about $350. I've got 2 that I'll hold onto for awhile or until they don't cooperate with Win XP anymore. Shame though as they are excellent interfaces. Presonus Firepod will probably be the next purchase.

yeah, i'm starting to realize that.
Although they sound really good, i guess people are nervous to buy a discontinued item.
buy the way, do you think that the a/d/a conversion in a pci card is the same as a firewire connection?

There's been a lot of discussion on that topic before here and in other forums. I won't try to quote anything because I just don't remember all the details. The bottom line is PCI is going away (or gone) so it really won't be an option. For the typical home studio rec'r (myself included) it won't make a difference. When my Q10's crap out I'll go to firewire (Firepod I'm sure). I would sell both Q10's now to go Firepod but selling both would only get me one Firepod. It took too long to get 16 inputs so I'm in no hurry to go back to 8.
