ok so i am running the Tascam US-122 as my default OUT audio device and i plugged the RCA cable Line-Outs on the us-122 to my home theater reciever, which has two floor speakers and two surround speakers plugged into it. When I first plugged them in they worked fine but now for some reason the sound kind of fades in and out through the speakers. I dont really know how to explain it but its like every second it will get loud and then it will just continue to suck for another five seconds. and then sometimes it will sound good for a few seconds and then start sucking again i cant figure it out. What I really need to figure out is if the problem is in my computer, the Tascam, the reciever, my wiring (which is what I'm thinking) or the speakers. It wouldnt be so frustrating if it had never worked right in the first place, but knowing that it can work and just not being able to get it to is making me very angry. THanks for your time I know that was way too long of a post.

but what does that mean? how do i fix that? i wouldnt be surprised if one of the speakers is wired wrong but all four of them are sounding screwed up.

First "reseat" all of your connections, that means unplugging all of your cables and plugging them back in. Also test another source like a cd player or dvd player to see if the sound still goes nuts. - do that first. If another sound source is fine then we can limit our examination to the cables from the Tascam unit. Let me know what you find out.
