Still Learning.......
heres my setup

-1800 Athlon+RAM etc
-Gadget Labs wave 8/24
-soundblaster audigy live drive soundcard
-cubase 32
-windows 98

I have spent the last five days trying to get this all to work, but to no avail.
Cubase works, but won't record (I think) from the gadget labs, even though it recognises the inputs and lets me select them for each track. It recognises and records from the SB fine though.
I would like to use the 8/24 as the recorder and the sb as a play back device.
Could someone PLEASE spell this out to me from the VERY BASICS.
Please. I am very very stuck at the moment.

Hi Neil,

I'm intrigued to know why you'd want to use a Creative audio card with such a high-end bit of gear such as the Gadget Labs card.

Do you want the Audigy for its SoundFont capabilities?

Is Cubase happy to work with two soundcards installed in your PC? You may get a better response if you post your question to the Cubase forum on this BB.

FWIW I used to have an AWE64 Gold and my Terratec EWX24/96 in the same PC. They were abale to communicate via the S/PDIF connector. Have you tried this with your two cards? Alternatively you could perhaps connect them via the analogue in/outs.

Have you considered using a soft-synth to play SoundFonts?

Just guessing really :)
