I feel like I am the only one who is doing the Polka here, every one else is just mouthing off to each other and that doesn't get anything done. Rap Hip Hop is here to stay, stereo types will live till the end of time, and Polka as we all know is the only true art form we can call music. So strike up the band, and lets Polka!!!!!!

ler me guess, you're white?

scorpio: i don't care if they buy most of the shit... i'm not talking about the buyers... how many LEGITIMATE white rappers are there? My point exactly.... rap music is not white music. They might buy it since they secretly love everything we do, but fuck outta here...

I gotta admit, the closest I come to racism is that I think black singers and rappers sound MUCH better than whitey's (ps, I'm whiter than talcum powder).

But, if this is the world that white guys have created, for all our sakes, HAND THE KEYS OVER!!!!

Enough rambling. At the moment, I'm just trying to reconcile this:

my question is......why hasnt anyone in any of the "whats the best mic threads" suggested that he or she go to their local music store and try these mics out

the absolute best thing to do is find somewhere to hire a range of microphones, try it out with your pre and whatever else is in your signal chain.

man are you really that blind? we are getting off the point....i said alot of rapper & hip hop artist would rather spend money on beer, black & milds, & weed then spend money on studio time or the equipment to make their own studio, hell some rock artist are the same way....when a rap group comes to me and they ask me how much it cost to record and i tell em my price (which is well below the market) they still wanna know how i can hook em up with a cheaper price....and i see they have gold this and platinum that around their necks, gold grills and a forty in their hands. you wanna say this is racism...it's not racism...it's the reallity of this shit.....its called hustling...to get what you can for cheap or free.

I thought the point was that LCD wanted to know what microphone he could buy for around $500 that was warm and coloured. I don't remember him saying he had to have change to spend on beer, black & milds and weed.

Why do all questions regarding rap microphones degenerate into a debate on racial issues? Does a microphone know what colour the person is that is singing into it? While I might have my reservations about someone asking the question what is the best rap mic under $xxx, I don't care what colour the person who is asking the question is.

In any case, LCD, focus on the mics, and file the jibes about putting blunts down along and wanting to spend more money on bling than equipment with some of the things that I originally posted...
