Could anyone explain to me how to use the cut funtion in the sequencer channel setting. I'm having a getting my hats right. I'm not an actual drummer so I really don't know how to explain it but I think it's hitting a closed hat on the first three beats and closed on the fourth. Like tic, tic, tic, teeeic, tic, tic. :) Don't I need to cut something on the teeic to close back on the next beat. Also, anyone got any tips for drums in flstudio.

Yes. Go to the MISC tab for the sample. Where it says CUT you can select a number, this is the cut group number that THIS sample cuts off when it is played. CUT BY is the cut group number that cuts off THIS sample. So you could set your Open Hi Hat sample to be CUT BY group 2, then set your closed hi hat sample to CUT group 2, and you would get the effect you are looking for.

Thanks! It's worked but why do you put 2? I'm actually thinking about buying a drumkit now that I've learned a little about drums. Could you tell me a few more instances that you would use the cut button on drums to help them sound more realistic? I'm using a combo of NaturalKit and the RealDrumkits on FL. Thanks for the help.
