Fruity Loops and Alesis SR16

Hello.

I have Fruity loops and an SR16.

I can connect the SR16 to my computer via midi.

What I wish to do is use Frcuity's interface to program the pattern and then when I play it uses the sounds of my SR16.

Can it be done?
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Does fruity loops send midi notes? Dont you have a sequencer program? They usually have good graphical editors for doing drum parts.
