I used to connect my cable modem directly to my computer via USB. Now i'm trying to connect to an ethernet card so i can run a network....installed everything...everything H/w wise seems to be working good. click on the IE 6.0 doesn't connect. one advice i was told is i need to call my internet provider(optimum online) and get the IP # or something is that the only way?
