Gee, I don't know. I like this song too much.... is it safe to listen, or will I want to hunt you down and beat you over the head with a guitar for blasphemy.... :confused: ;)
 
Well. Do I need to get beaten over the head yet?
I couldn't fake the Analog Synth solo and i wouldn't dare try. So I made it into a guitar solo......

So, there's a rub when you do covers. You either have to nail it perfectly and risk being chastised for failing (even a close 2nd is failing). Or you have to recreate the song, do it completely different and make it your own.

I've always loved this song. It's a great song for beginning guitarists to learn with. I could never pull off the intro smoothly enough to sound decent and you did it so naturally. :mad:

You version is very faithful to the original, right down to that one stunted note in the intro. Then you go off and play the synth solo with a wah guitar. WTF???

Great tune. This was my "show piece" tune at parties when I was a teenager and my cover band does this one live now. You pretty much nailed it. I was wondering what you were going to do with the synth solo at the end. The wah guitar is brilliant.
