I record my music using a ZOOM MRS 802B multi-track digital recorder (8 track). I've been really impressed with some recent recording I heard from people using computer software/hardware to record (DAW's). I'm going to give it a try, but not really sure what would be the best "bang for your buck" software to go with. I know I'd be looking for something with a good drum program, because I rely heavily on that (I'm a guitarist). And also near studio-quality effects (i.e., compressors, eq, delay's, reverbs... I need all the help I can on vocals). I've paid special attention to Cubase 4 and M-Audio Pro Tools; they seem to offer alot, but I'd rather get opinions from experienced users on "what's good" and "what just looks good"...
