Clam Soup

Project 49
I have a recording in Cubase that I'd like to "export" I think.

Little help?

Yes, if your finished mixing you want to export it. Go to export on the file menu. There are lots of option, most of the defaults are ok. I don't have cubase right in front of me so I can't tell you the exact settings but if you make it this far you should be able to figure it out.

Or, Jimmy should be along anytime.

Thanks - I think I'll be trying it today with a couple of songs. Keeping my fingers crossed that you'll hear it as I do. I don't have speakers, only a headset.

Yeah, headphones are ok for some stuff but mixing isn't one of them. I've got the same problem where I don't have a dedicated treated studio and I have a hell of a time getting a decent mix. I've used phones before and you just don't get a very accurate sound. I always found that headphones tend to enhance the bass so when you export your mix it ends up sounding really tinny on other equipment.

That might be okay ... I tend to play in the deep end of the songs anyway.

This is my first go at it on my own - the tracks aren't going to be perfect, but more of a representative sample of the songs. .... do you know of any good places to upload them?
