From analog to digital from scratch...almost, help please!

I had a few pieces of equipment to make tracks and record with that were analog, I want to go digital now, but I know few things about it. All I have is my MPC2000XL, what else would I need. The only thing I know that would be extremely helpful so far is Cakewalk for my computer. Please help. Thanks.

You should do a little reading around these boards............

You'll need an editor.......... I would suggest Sound Forge by Sonic Foundry

Is this along the same line as Cake walk Pro Audio 9. I want to be able to encompass my computer, MPC2000XL, mics and moniter speakers into whatever I can. I read about the Aardvark Q10 (I guess, but don't know if it's a recorder, mixer, sequencer all in one software), would that plus what I have be enough to record.
