Frequency Splitter, is it showing what I think?

.....and what I think it's showing me is.......
for example, I was looking at my vocal track, and
all the guts of it was between 100Hz and 3000Hz.
Out side of this, was just some pussy little faint
hardly audible rubbish.

So does this mean I can do some FFT notch filtering
on other tracks in the area to make the vocals sit better.?
