can any table be found which shows how much the air absorbs the different frequencies of a sound while moving away the source?

am I making myself clear? (damn, my english should get polished up some time ;-) )

There are so many factors that can effect this. Humidity, temperature, and I beleive air pressure too.

You could use a frequency counter and make your own custom table for your recording area. They're expensive as hell though...
