Free Tremolo Plugin?

Does anybody know of one? I'd prefer to be able to measure the pulse in beats or Hz, but I'm getting to the point where I'd even be content with just a tempo knob.

Everything I've found is part of a huge expensive package, and I JUST want the tremolo!

If you have some info, please share.
 
Dumb question alert. You can use VST plugins with Cakewalk? I thought it was DX only.
 
As I'm not using Cakewalk I can't answer if it loads vst plugs, if it doesn't, get a vst/directX wrapper, then you can load your vst plugs in DX aplications.

Yes, there are VST->DX "adapters".
 
Wow, I had no idea! There were a bunch of VST plugins that I wanted to try, too. Thanks, I'll give it a shot.
