OK, it's moving time. I have the following stuff that will be thrown away if you don't take it first:

- Two fabric task chairs, your basic $30 office store versions, one blue, one gray. Sort of like the Civil War Chess set of task chairs.

- One loveseat, worn springs but still looks nice other than the awful fabric (mauve, navy, taupe, forest green). I dunno what the hell I was thinking, but I liked it in 1992. Doubles as a bass trap :D

- My studio tower rack. This is a home stereo glass door unit that I built 18 rack spaces into and drilled holes in the side for XLR panels.

- A little 16" x 26" desk I built from salvaged material from a 5' x 5' corner computer workstation. Clever enough for a small mixer or side table.

Pics on request. Please save this stuff from the dump!

how much you think it would be to ship the rack?

Quite a bit . . . it would have to go freight.

If you like, I can move it with me to NC (Outer Banks) if that's close enough for you to pick up. I just don't need it in the new house.

I'll post pics later this evening.

how long before you are in NC and will be ready for me to pick it up if I am able to do so? I am going to look up directions and mileage now. What city should I be looking up directions to?

I might take you up on the chairs. Plus it'd be nice to finally meet you before you leave the area!

I may be interested in all of it.

Pics would be greatly appreciated if you have the time.

Where are you located?

Thanks..
Dave

Moving to NC 8/10, zip code there is 27948 (Kill Devil Hills). Current location is Lorton VA 22079.

I've gotten a couple of PMs on shipping which I just can't do--no time to arrange freight or pack, plus this stuff is large and heavy. This is why I'm giving it away!

MadAudio has dibs on the chairs, thajeremy on the rack, invisible on everything else :) Lemme know if you don't want what I have you down for.

I can also bring any of the items into the city (Georgetown) next week during business hours; you'd have to meet me in the parking lot at Wisconsin & K.

Look for pictures around 10:00 tonight.

Also I have one item for sale - a solid hardwood TV cabinet, $50, could be useful in a studio. I'll post pictures tonight.

.

Glad that you’re getting out of the Lorton Reformatory. How much gear did they let you have in your cell. :D :D :D

Just my crack pipe and a shiv ;)

They closed down the prison three years ago. All that land is sprouting McMansions now.

I've played a couple house parties in that area and am always surprised to see more and more shake n bake colonies popping up.

Can you ship the task chairs?...
Back off, buddy, I've got dibs. And besides, he already said he doesn't really have time to do shipping...

For what it would cost in shipping, it'd be cheaper for you to buy 'em at your local Staples, Office Depot, etc.

Dude, that is the best response I've seen all day.

I want you to make sure you know that.

So there.

Yes indeedy. I'll post on this thread once I'm there, assuming my DSL gets hooked up in good order :o

OK here are pics

The rack--50" H x 22" x 20", four shelves, middle two have 6u and 12u racks, top and bottom are about 4" or 5" shelves.

If you want the patch panels, I'll have to charge, there are 10 XLR and 6 TRS jacks, all Neutrik, with about 6" - 12" of wire inside the rack with Switchcraft or Neutrik plugs. That will set you back $100. I was planning on keeping those . . .
