The little desk

19" x 27" x 29" H

I might be selling that monitor too, it's a 17" Gateway LCD, dunno how much, but make me an offer . . .

Loveseat

You don't get the throw, the Barbie doll, or the cute little girl :)

TV Stand

This is solid cherry, swivel top, cabinet & drawer. Dimensions are 28 x 18 x 29 H. Doesn't include TV or DVD :) $50

My mic collection

Not for sale, but I'm just posting it cause I'm cool  Sorry for the crappy pic--see if you can ID all of them:

One more thing

I've decided that none of this stuff is free. Ha Ha HA! Now I don't want money for it (except the TV stand, and LCD), but you have to contribute to a collaborative recording of this tune I wrote some years ago but haven't recorded. It's about a discussion board, or really all discussion boards, loosely inspired by Bob Marley's "Zimbabwe":

Chorus:

You're wrong, you're wrong, you're wrong, you're
Sooooo wrong
You're wrong, you're wrong, you're wrong, you're
Sooooo wrong

Do you think hearing the sound of your voice
Makes you right?
Everyone knows the lies that you told
They're in plain sight

Maybe if you'll win the argument
If you open your mouth and plug your ears
You can have the last word
'Cause we're all bored to tears

Chorus

It doesn't mean 'cause you say so
One and one makes three
We prove you wrong again and again
But you still can't see

This board trashed, it's full of spam
>From the hatred you spread
It's sad to see a place we loved
Abandoned; left for dead

Chorus

My drums are in storage so it will be a little interesting . . . I guess we'll start with a click track. Feel free to bring your own instrument or play one of mine, otherwise you'll be stuck doing the vocals :D

Results will be posted on the mp3 clinic :)

I'll definitely take both North and South. I'll PM you.

EDIT: I posted this before reading the above, and I'd be GLAD to do a drum track for you. But where's the link? Bring it on! My drums are all mic'ed up and ready to GO!

There is no link, because there are no tracks yet  The idea was to record the tracks when you pick up the gear. But if you'd like, send me a drum track you think fits those lyrics, and we'll start from there

Now that's what I call a challenge! I think I'm up to it, but at least give me a tempo! :D

Ska punk, a beat like Minor Threat's In My Eyes (which isn't ska but oh well). That has the verse/chorus contrast I need, plus the intro in that tune has the right feel for my interlude.

Gimme a presto (180) from the intro chorus through the first verse and second chorus, then I need a mellower interlude for 8 bars or so, lay off the snare and work the ride at nice allegro (140), then a quick speed up back to presto for the second verse and final chorus.

Well I only wrote it five years ago, it's been in my head quite a while . . . I need to figure out what the chords are too :o

Maybe my debut CD could be a Dischord release  <-- that's me daydreaming :)

Hey Mad

Your mailbox is full :(

Maybe I can drop off the chairs? Where are you in the city?

Oh, whoops! :o Time to clear some space.

Well, my studio (which is the final destination) is in Mt. Pleasant (a little north of Adams Morgan).

MS,
You built that rack? Do you still have the plans? I'd be interested in trying that once I get settled in (I moved too). What does you sig say by the way, "I want you dead pig?"

No, it's a prefab home stereo cabinet that I added rack rails to.

The sig was supposed to say "I want you dead", but I think it ended up as "I want your dead", which is much funnier, in a Holy Grail sort of way.

No, it's "you" I don't know what the last character means. My parents insisted I keep up with Chinese until I was like 10, must not be a word they teach kids if you know what I mean. Also, there's 2 characters for "you" in the chinese language, one is normal the other is more respectful (i.e. kinda like "sir"). The sig uses the more respectful one, so at least you are being polite while wishing ill on someone. :D
