gimmi your mic!
hi --

I've recorded a sweeping test tone from 20Hz-20kHz last night and recorded it from my mixing position through the studio monitors to check on my room acoustics and ways how to improve it.

Is there a freebe spectral analyzer software (Win XP) I can use to plot amplitude vs frequency from a recoded WAV file? Haven't found anything useful on the web.

Thanxxx!

Check my thread on placing panels, I gave you a few hints. :)

Giga,
I 2nd the inspector, its works for Mac and PC. Check out the demo. Equim and Furium is great too!

Yeah, fairly useful stuff - they have a couple other freebies worth the download, here -

Speakerworx lets you calculate wire size, etc - hometheater I've not dug into yet. There are brief descriptions of each proggie on the linked page - if you wanna dream big, check out their stuff for sale, but unless you're Bill Gates you should probably bring a co-signer... Steve
