I'm particularly interested in what to do about the ceiling. Currently, it's just 1" styrofoam with no insulation above it -- just an airgap till you get to the tin roof.

The walls of room where all the instruments are were done inside out. Burlap that you can see, then poly fill, then 6" fiberglass insulation with the paper towards the outside wall. Carpet on the floor in there, so that room is already pretty dead. The acoustic drum kit is bearable now.

The other rooms are just regular drywall construction. Nothing fancy. This is a converted woodworking shop.

We still need to build a desk for the control room. Later on we will treat the storage booth to use as a vocal/guitar booth.

Dimensions are (approx)

Instrument room 20x12'
Control room 16'x12'
Storage/vocal/guitar booth 6x12'

I've already made a 4" absorber panel for the control room the you can see in the pictures. I need a couple bass traps in the corner and maybe some 2" absorber panels. Maybe a skyline absorber.

BTW, most of audio equipment you see is leftover DJ stuff, except for the Warfedale 8.2A monitors.
