Wazzzup guys and girls

Just been checking out your fine website, looks like a great resource for us budding musicians to tap in to. Since we a running a very low budget on our up and coming HIP HOP production we are in need of a FREE downloadable drum program for windows that we are able to export the beats in .WAV format to a version of Logic. We have found a few but most drum sounds are too unrealistic and most are demos that don't allow work to be saved or exported.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Fruity Loops has a free demo you can download. The demo does not let you save in the "fruity" format (so you can't come back and edit later), but I think it does let you export to a .WAV file.

I dont' know if this is what you're looking for but if you go to Mp3.com you can search for "drum beats" and you'll get real drums from a real player. They're obviously in mp3 format but what the hell!!!!

HammerHead is a free virtual drum machine, I've used it and its great (see link above) . But Fruity Loops is a lot more flexible.

Go to this link:

On the left select drum machine, drum sampler, and drum synth.
Select your OS on the second column.
If you're using a version of Logic then select VSTi as your plugin format, that way you don't need to export. Finally select the "free instruments" choice.
You can also select "Sample Manipulator", there you'll find PhatMatik, a loop player.

All this is free. Enjoy.

You may wanna' check out this little gem...

Digitonix Element - http://www.digitonix.com .... Nice little program, really... It exports to MIDI, too... I wish it exported to .WAV or to mp3, however...

But still, it's nice, and easy to use...

I'd like to find something similar to this, but with perhaps better samples, and a way to export to mp3 or wav... any ideas?
