So I guess it's not bad, huh? :D

Good to hear, I only found it this morning so I've haven't been home to try it out yet. Now I'm excited.

wow, indeed. The controls on that LMC compressor could NOT be any easier.

This does look pretty cool, will it work with Cakewalk Homestudio 2XL? I know little to nothing about plugins QQ but per Ford's suggestion the other day I'm looking into keeping the mix in my box with much vigor!

You will need a VST Wrapper. The SSL plugin is a VST, and Cakewalk products don't support VST unless you have a VST Wrapper. Sonar comes with a wrapper (starting with ver.3 as I recall), but I don't know if the "lesser" Cakewalk stuff comes with a Wrapper. The wrapper is only like $40. TOTALLY worth it to be able to take advantage of all the cool VST plugins out there.

Anyone know right off hand where to get the wrapper?

yeah yeah yeah, I'm actually going to upgrade to V4.0XL for the same price, according to the tech at Cakewalk I just talked to. Woot ty guys.

Thanks for the heads up. I like it already, just for the readme:

The result was a classic drum sound that can be heard on tracks as diverse as Phil Collins’ ‘In The Air Tonight’ through to the eponymous debut of US hair-metallers Skid Row.

Used this compressor plugin on some audio tracks which are part of the tutorials in Sonar PE4. Drums, bass guitar, electric guitar, distorted electric guitar. This compressor did some really strange things to the bass and the other two guitar parts. The drums sounded pretty good, though.

please tell me its not just my PC and that this plugin takes a HUGE chunk out of the highs and lows and actually works as a bandpass filter right?

Man i strapped that puppy across the drum aux and Bam!
Nothing quite like it.
And free....i think im gonna cry!
God ive spent gobs on plugs and some of my fav's are the free ones!
What the hell is going on around here with that shit?

I tried it on distorted guitars that were purposely too bassy, and it fixed that quick. Dunno about highs, because distorted guitars don't have many of those, but it beat the pants off the 1176LN for that.

It's almost like the opposite of the 1176LN, good to have around.

Yeah cool ass plugin but what hell is with the whole checkout thing just to download it. You have to go through like five pages just to get the link! Thats just the kind of thing that makes me a little upset. Well worth the million click throughs though! :D

'Bout time they made a PC VST version. I thought we were getting the shaft.
BTW, it is a special effect so things are bound to sound a little weird guys.
