where can i download a manual?

i got this on ebay and i'd like to know what all it can (or can't) do......

I don't beleive Fostex provides free copies of their manuals (downloaded or otherwise) - you'll have to purchase one from them......

Man, I remember my X-26.... My first "Rig"..... Would have been about 1990.. With a Boss Dr-550 Drummachine and a no name guitar and a casio keyboard

Brings back memories..

Have fun with that thing!!!!

Joe

um....ok....does anyone have one they can scan or know a site where one is available?

I am imagining you have already done a google search, and come up with the same results as me...... NOTHING!...

So, website-wise, I think your out of luck... Maybe some one around here will have one.... You have to just keep checking this thread...

I have never heard anyone talking about the X-26 around here, so I am not sure.

My manual was sold with the unit when I sold it way back in '92

Anyways.. Good Luck.

I do suggest you follow Bruces suggestion and get in touch with fostex and buy a manual.

Joe

Fostex only provides downloadable copies of user manuals for their 'current' products.

You can get one for $28.00 from this site. I would take a crack at figuring the thing out without a manual before I paid that much for a manual for this particular recorder.

n.s.d. ....... i can get one from fostex for ten but a few pages of paper aren't worth ten bucks to me.

that should be posted on a/the site somewhere in pdf or archived somewhere........

I agree......I dont know why they dont just archive all the old user manuals in pdf format. They cant be making a killing off of selling old manuals......doesnt make sense.

Hey man,

this may be far too late, but send me your mailing address and I'll see if I can dig up my old manual, photocopy it, and mail it to you.

You can get in touch with me through www.man-man.org. Make sure you put my name, Matthew Shepherd, in the subject, as my partner checks the mail account for Man-Man.

Turntablist?

You may be confused because I have almost the same name as a semi-famous dead guy named Matthew Shepard.

I'm not him.

And "Man-Man" is a comic strip about a guy with the powers of the average man, not...uh...anything else.

In case you were wondering.
