Several years ago I received one as a gift from another musician. This was back in 2019. It was a machine that was new and in the box. Less than 20 hours of use later and it stopped playing. I didn't realize there was simple fix that I found out about later. A friend ended up taking it apart and trying to fix it. He gave up and I was left with a bag of parts and the rest of the machine somewhat intact. I didn't know what to do so I bought another one online. The machine I got was trash. It had been worked on a bunch and barely played the tapes. That one ended up breaking as well so now I have two machines that don't work. I am humbly asking this forum as to what I do with these machines? Can Fostex refurbish them? Is there anyone out there who works on them? I have tried looking online to see if I could buy another one with no luck. Any help is much appreciated!
