Fostex VF-160 and D-160: Are The SCSI Data Compatible?

I have a question about the Fostex VF160 in relation to the stand alone
rack-mount unit, the Fostex D160:

A couple of years ago I saved song data TO an external SCSI drive FROM a Fostex D160.
Will the VF160 recognize (and load) the data FROM that external SCSI drive?
