Fostex FD8

I am having much trouble multitracking on the FD8 digital multitracker by Fostex. I cannot seem to record a second track while monitoring the first track without the first track ending up on the second track recording as well. if that makes any sense!

When you are recording track 2, you can't monitor track 1 with the channel 1 (track 1) fader. You have to use the "Monitor" knob on channel one. Turn it to the right where it says "track 1", not the left where it says "input". Using the fader to monitor with causes track 1 to "bounce" to track 2.
