Does anyone have one? For some reason i can't get it to record - all the lights are flashing at all the right times, but it doesnt seem to be recording. Any ideas? Also, any advice from seasoned users?

cheers!

Lights flashing means the tracks are armed. To get the machine to record you have to push record and then play as close to at the sametime as humanly possible. Then the lights should be solid.

Oh...

How long have you had the machine?

Problems that Ive had from variations of forgetfullness.
Is the tape guide next to the heads engaged? Can you visually see if the tape is actually on the record/playback head? Are the ins and outs plugged into the right place?
Is the console actually sending signal to the machine? Are you using direct outs, tape outs or bus outs? Are the bargraph meters on the recorder lighting up when you play an instrument? If the they do, and you have armed the tracks and hit all the right buttons then Id be sure to make sure the tape is actually touching the head. I don't know where my manual is at...Thats all I can help you with except taking it in for service and alignment.
