Not of sound mind
I have one of these multi-effects processors that I used to use a fair amount in my 4-track days, but since I've gone PC, it hardly gets used at all. I really liked some of the reverbs. Google doesn't have much about this box, so I thought I'd check here for other's experiences.

It looks kind of lonely over there on the shelf. Does anyone else have one? Maybe they could get together for a play-date. I'm not selling it, or anything. I just wanted to see if anyone else had one.

I don't have one,...

but it looks like a cool enough unit that I wanted one.

Does that count??

Well looks are important. So, I guess that's something. If I ever decide to sell mine, I'll let you know. :p

Yeah,...

it has the basic features that I'd look for in a small effects unit, but I don't use effects all that often. Currently, I have an old Yamaha R-100 stereo delay/reverb. It's adequate, but as I said, I hardly ever use effects any more.

I have various other heavy duty rackmount effects accessories, but refer to the above.

Go to the Future Music website. Hit the Gear link. Type in FOSTEX in the SEARCH. You'll see a link to a DE-1 review. They liked it.

I believe the DSP chips in the DE-1 are also in the VF160. But I can't swear to it.

Cool! Thanks for the website. I saw a couple of user reviews at harmony-central as well. I bought this unit many years ago and still think it has some of the best reverbs for a $100 box (better than many of my plugin reverbs, too). I may have to bust it out in the near future for something.

I did more looking too. These were generally well thought of units. Actually, The VF160 effects are based on a later edition of the effects chips in the DE-1, but they're probably very similar.
