Hi all. Just a newbie but I need a user manual for the Fostex D10 DAT recorder. Can anyone out there help me? Or point me to where I can download one?
Thanks

Come on guys... there's gotta be some one out there who could scan one or tell me where I can get one....Please:confused:I need help

My preliminary search of the Fostex site and dealer websites turned up nothing. Probably the best place to start would be contacting Fostex. They'll point you in the right direction.

I don't know the d10. Is it similar to the d15? because that manual is out there. try harmony central or zzounds.com

good luck.

The D10 was a DAT recorder and there's no reference to d/loadable documentation on Fostex's site so emailing them may be your best bet.

If on the other hand, you meant the D108 multi track recorder, then there is info available for d/load.

Its defiantly a D10, I have searched til my fingers are raw. I cant find any info at all:(

I realised you said "D10 DAT" but I thought I'd make sure :).........anyways, it looks as though a direct approach to Fostex US may be your best option.

Thanks Ausrock will try a more direct approach.

I e-mailed them the day that you posted this thread and I still haven't heard back from them. I own a VF 16 and they have always gotten back to me really quick when I've had technical issues with it.

Please do Kramer, Fostex in Australia doesn't have one.:(

DB,

Does that mean you're in Aust., or just that you're scouring the world in your search? :) I presume you contacted Major Music, unfortunately, they haven't been the Aust., Fostex distributor for too long so it's highly unlikely that 1) they would have what you're looking for, and 2) the staff would have much if any knowledge of discontinued products. EDIT: I've just spoken to the company that were the Fostex dist., up until approx., 18 months ago but unfortunately, there's no-one there able to help, the guy did suggest contacting Greg Cato at Major Music.

I'm not familiar with Fostex DAT recorders but if there is another model that appears similar to yours, it may be an idea to include that model's manual in your search.

Also, you could contact High Country Service Data http://www.hcsd.com.au/index.html ............they specialise in service manuals for electrical/electronic gear and have a huge and diverse "library", however, as a lot of their data is supplied by private individuals and/or techs, they don't have everything.
