Hi

Great song. Can you send me a version without the electric guitar, I wil try to put some vocals on it ? What would you like the subject to be on ?

/Jack

Hey Jack--I appreciate the offer, but I'm gonna let this one stand as an instrumental. As simple as it is, it's got a serious dose of sentimental value, so I think I'd better leave it as is!

Thanks!

I wish I sounded like this when I have insomnia. This sounds great. The focus seems to be on the electric, and to be honest, I loved both versions. But the acoustic sound is top rung. Crystal clear with great separation. Nice job. Wish I had half your chops.

Thanks gz--seriously. I hear what you're saying about the acoustic. It's a bit ironic that I'm so obsessed with recording "my" tone on the electric--when it seems it's recording the acoustic that comes so naturally to me. If only I played the acoustic a little better...

How many years have you played guitar? sounds nice...

Seriously? You asked for it...

I bought my first electric when I was 12, played like I thought I was a rock star until I was 18 (never took a lesson though).

Life smacked me pretty hard when I was 19 (my own doing) and I sold everything and pouted over the fact that I wasn't a rock star for the next ten years.

I started over with a 94 white Strat when I was 29, and have been playing fairly regularly since then. (I'll be 44 next week.) Now I'm a rock star in my own head (and to my closest friends and family)--couldn't be happier about it. :)

Im not a guitar fan so I wouldnt know the guys mentioned...seriously...I mean have they ever released anything in the UK? lol

I appreciate this for its clarity...crystal clear, I only wish I could record an acoustic with in a mile of this quality....the lead does sound like its taking the place of vocals, cant say if I found the tone generic or not...seemed to fit its purpose well and sit in the mix...did seem panned too far from centre but no other nits

good job and fine tribute

Your acoustic playing is better than most. Don't be shy.

I do well enough to make a part sound good on a recording. My fingers do what I ask them to--but I don't ask them to do enough! I'm gonna have to ask them to do more of the stuff that your son does on that CD. Now that's some playing...
