Kit

thats a pretty kit, i am waiting on my student loan check so i'll give ya a holler in a couple of days.

Hey, if you're interested in making a non-Ebay offer, please do it as soon as you can, there's already 27 watchers in the first day of the listing, so as soon as it has bids, it would have to be a pretty good offer for me to end it!

hey your another buffalo resident!!! whats going on ... sorry i guess i kinda picked the wrong thread for this

but

GOD DAMMIT CAROLINA

I am not affiliated with the seller, but I thought I'd lend a hand to anyone looking at this kit.

I own a kit just like this, with a few differences (mounted floor toms, 22" bass drum on my kit).

The finish is truly remarkable, and is indeed rare. So rare, in fact, that when I tried 2 years ago to order another tom from Ludwig they informed me that they would not be able to sell me one with the same finish.

The drums sound AMAZING. I have a nice set of Yamaha Recording Customs, and I play Maple Customs in the studio daily, but there's something that the Ludwig set has that these sets don't. The Ludwig maple set projects EXTREMELY well, tunes up easily, and is at home in any style of music.

</rant> Sorry, everyone. I sent this kit back home a year ago so I'd quit banging it up by gigging the hell out of it. (it was a gift from my grandfather when I turned 16). I miss it!

Yes, I am from Buffalo, my whole life. (I don't know if I should so freely admit that in public!)

Anyhow, thanks for contributing to the thread funkdrmr. It is true, these things are tried and true in the studio with many different head combos. Even when I had different main gigging kits, I always brought bits and pieces of this kit to record with because they record so easily. Luckily when I added the 16" floor to the kit, it was just three months later so I could still purchase something in the same finish.

If I wasn't bed ridden with three bum discs and didn't need a recording laptop, I would hang onto them! I am sad to see them go, they are my first "pro" kit, but unfortunately I need the cash and I have another kit that can be broken into three (6/8/10/12/13/15/16/18/22/26) so it makes sense to hang onto that one instead.

Hey girlthatdrums I am truly sorry to hear about the herniated discs. I rolled my truck and ruptured a disc and ended up with a bone graft and a plate and 2 screws in my neck, but I am on the right side of the dirt anyway. Did you sell the olive green colored kit?? I remember seeing that one too. Really nice kits!! Hang in there you will heal and play again.

Yup, I did end up selling that one too. Just one kit left, but it's so large I could break it into three seperate kits. I figured that would be the best to keep out of the three.

Well, they didn't sell. Almost 40 watchers, and only 1 person bid at the end.

Anyhow, last call on these. The reserve was $799. Otherwise I'll just hang onto them and pack them away. :(
