For Lack of thought - Please criticize

I like it! Good vibe overall, the interlude is nice.
The only thing I'd say is that the high-pass at the start actually makes everything after it sound muddy in comparison. Maybe just tweak it so it's not sooo trebley..?
 
Impressive guitar - quite imaginative. The kick may have been a bit too much (drum machine - hello?). I thought your mixing was good. Liked the bit when you changed from one guitar sound to the other.

I was going for more of a Radio kind of effect to make it seem like the song comes in hard.. Any suggestions? In terms of the kick, how can i get more of a natural sound.. I play drums but unfortunately i have no mics so i gotta settle for addictive drums
 
Super guitar playing here. The mix sounds pretty good to me - lots of layers but everything is pretty easy to make out. What kind of guitar and amp are you recording with? I'm not sure why you call it cheezy it's interesting and dynamic. It would be cool to hear some vocals but not required. As is it would make for good TV background music...like SPIKE TV.

I'm actually plugged straight into a profire2626 using the logic plugin.
