For all the Rockers (Old and Young)

I got my son a Iron Cobra dbl bass pedal for christmas and I have never tried using both. Im not a drummer. So I tried it anyway and this is what I came up with. The tune is called Slug, its on my soundclick site. It actually sounds pretty cool (minus my poor drumming). I spent about two hours on it and had it eq'd pretty good and when I played it in my home system and personal pc system, it sounded not as good as on my studio monitors. Well on the back of my monitors I have eq switches and my little cousin and his friends messed with them and I didnt realize it. So I changed them back, but was too tired to screw with redoing it. Needless to say I will have to redo the mix tomorrow. Still the quality isnt to bad just needs re eq'd a little. I had the kick sounding good in the studio but Im pretty bad at the double bass thing. And the messed up eq's dont help. Needs someone to put lyrics to it. Let me know what you think.

The song has potential and the guitars are definitely cool. Yeah, the drums... Hmmmm. ..I'm not sure about them. They sound all right although the kick is a little disconnected from the rest of the kit to my shabby ears. I know you said you don't play well but you manage to hold the beat down. I bet it would really rock with a real drummer.

Im gonna redo the drums. I agree I am not a drummer and me trying to do the double bass thing stinks.

Redid the kick and didnt try and do the quick dbl bass thing. I still stuggle playing the drums, but Im alot better than when I started. :)
 
love the lead. Was that just a wah or some kind of pitch shifter? guitars sound nasty!!! in a good way!!
 
Sounds pretty good. Lead wah sounds great. Whatever you do, please don't screw up the song with cookie-monster-growl-scream vocals. :p

I cant sing worth a shit :). My daughters boyfriend is home from Iraq and he is gonna try and put lyrics and sing some of the tunes. I will probably have to re-adjust some things to the lyrics. He is a huge Metallica and Pantera fan but I will make sure its not Cookie Monster vocals. Believe me I cant stand that style.
