Follow up question concerning MIDI and Reason

OK, so I got everything working, more or less, and now I have a new question. Is there a way for me to record things real time, on the Malstrom for example, and then sync that to the click track so that even if I don't play something perfectly in time, I can line it up after the fact? Not necessarily "quantize notes", as I have a problem with that. The problem is that if I play something a little out of time, then I quantize, it'll fix the notes to the closest bar in a measure, even if that bar falls in between counts, and once quantized I can't move that note back and forth. Any help is appreciated, let me know if I need to clarify this post so you can actually read it.

Whatever you play/record in Reason will play back the same, unless you change the tempo after the recording. If you can play it "Real time" do that until you get it right, that's all...........If there is some difficult parts, when you're playing "Real time", take advandtage of the sequencer and punch in/out, or dub another track. You have many other options if you don't get what you want "Real time", my only hope that you don't settle for whatever you get if you're not truely satisfied with it............
 
As I re-read your post, I interpreted it differently. You can, after recording a part, go back and edit the notes individually or as a group. Or you can, of course, tweak the Malstrom to your prefrence even after the recording. The combination of all the tweakings could change your whole sound, and allow your to synch more precisely.
 
I just wanted to say REASON is the shisnik is the greatest thing i have used to compossed my beatsit has made my life easier.

Reason is one of the illest, because the sky is the limit!
