As I stated earlier in the Deathmetal-thread. We gathered, some dozen or so, from various parts of Finland, to an island for three days to sauna, drink and play music. Acoustically, which makes it kinda folk-ish.

I only played in a couple of tracks since I was recording them tunes. Mostly outdoors, with a single stereo-pair of Röde NT-1. The electro acoustic bass was brought to it's own track at times. And a vocal track done separatly a couple of times. Never more than 4 tracks to use though.

17 tracks recorded, which included 14 songs.

In next I played a doubled-4-string instrument, starting with the vocals.(busuki or a mandolin??)

That's a couple of samples, you wont get much from the lyrics since in Finnish.

"-Where was the island? -on Saimaa!!
-what was the Vihta made of? -from pine!!!
-Is the Sauna hot? -Ofcourse!!!
-Rises a song from the bosom of the lake, eternal!!!
-Eternal!!!
-Eternal!!!"

"Vihta" is a bunch of twigs we beat ourselves with while in sauna.
An approximate translation to English from the Last song, whole ordeal sung twice.

Jesus we must've been drunk!! :D :D

Very good music. I especially liked the sustain on the bass instrument. Very growly, which is good. I didn't understand any of the lyrics, but it sounded like a love song. Tough love I suppose. I enjoyed it immensely although it made me sad that I sold my mandolin. Yours was tuned very well BTW. :)

New Genre - Outdoor Minimalist Death Folk? Black Death Bazooki?
Sounds quite good & very interesting - reconvene & record it again - get drunk of course but a few more mics so you can tweak - I bet Bjork would either puke or claim she'd been there 1st but left because you wouldn't let her sing!

Oddily enough, this was the fifth year we've been at it... and re-recording some of the 50 or so songs recorded there has never come up.

...I gues no-one recalls exactly what they played in there.:o

"Outdoor Minimalist Death Folk"-sounds Great!:D

Thanks very much for the comments!
