How's this for active mixing: friday I'll be mixing a show of the band I (co-)engineered in studio a month ago. I know their songs very well, know what they think is important, when which guitar needs a boost, and I'm even playing keyboards on 1 song from behind the desk. 
I'm thinking about having a delay on the guitar during his solo's. (The dude got problems with his own effects...) What kinda (short) delay should I start from? I never played alot of guitar with delays... (delay time, feedback?)
BTW, I went to their rehearsal on saturday. They're doing Number Of The Beast! The show (release party for the cd) is really gonna rock. However, this song needs delay/boost on the guitars during solo, and directly after that, bass needs a boost for a small solo. I'm gonna run short on fingers...
