i am trying to debate one which one i should upgrade to from my tascam us-122mkii, i have had the mbox 3 just not the mini at one point but sold it when i needed money.

i remember the mbox 3 sounding pretty sweet and solid but im not sure between the scarlett or the mini as im only recording for vocals and but i do know the mini only records up to 44 and the scarlett goes to 96
mini has 1 pre and scarlett has 2
i only need one pre for my at4040 but im looking for a better quality recording better converters and just more sound

44 will suit you just fine. Don't listen to anybody thinking that 96 will sound better.

Having said that, I'd still go with the Focusrite. The converters are no worse than the mini and it has more features.

alright sweet, well im not going to need any more features beside monitor volume level,
both are $299 and L&M in Edmonton but i have a chance to buy the Mbox 3 ( not mini ) without pro tools for $350 and L&M ( softwares not a biggy to me )
do you think that the converters in the mbox 3 ( non mini ) would be better then the 2 cheaper interfaces?

Just make sure you get the up to date scarlette mixer software. I have the 8i6o and the unit is really good but the router/mixer software took some getting used to.
