I am setting up a little home drum studio. I was wondering if the Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 is compatible with Adobe Audition CS6. I'll be running this on a Macbook Pro i7 quad core running Mavericks 10.9.5

I found a good deal on the Pro 40, and have heard really good things about this interface, especially for home drum recording. I already own Adobe Audition so if these two worked together. That would be great. I also own Apple's Soundtrack pro, version 3. I'm just going to be doing some simple drum recording, a little bit of compression and eq'ing, Nothing fancy. Thanks in advance for any responses.

AFA compatibility, yes. Your computer is the bridge. The 40 plugs in to the computer. The software works fine with 10.9 or 10.10 if you go there. The computer communicates.

I'm not sure what "AFA compatibility" is. I'm not familiar with this term. I do have a basic understanding of how everything works as I have done some recordings in the past using digital interfaces, pro tools, etc.. I just wasn't sure if Adobe Audition would recognize the Pro 40 drivers. I believe the pro 40 uses it's own driver whereas older focus rite products used the core audio driver. Thanks for the reply!

AFA = As Far As
The Pro 40 is firewire, just assumed Apple compatibility.
The Focusrite website has a how to install your Pro 40 video and it's done to a MacBook.
Seems like a pretty good assumption.

Sorry I assumed you were a noob...
