i have a few questions about flush-mounting monitors.
1) is it advisable to flush-mount nearfields or just midfields? would you flush-mount your mackie hr824s?
2) the sae site explains that you build a tight box around the speaker. is this box then built into the wall or something? i understand that the speaker surface should be flush with the wall, but the sae diagram shows a bass trap under the monitor, not a wall. the wall is beind the speaker. or am i reading this incorrectly?
3) where do the cables for the monitors go? if you drill a hole in the box, doesn't that defeat the purpose of the box being completely airtight?
4) how do you prevent overheating?
thanks.
